Finished Warlock Model

Here are a couple pictures of the Warlock I finished last night.  I am happy how he turned out.  I like the highlights (first on a non-vehicle model) and the overall paint job.  The sword needs work but unsure what to do with it, thoughts?

Well here are the pictures and hoping I can bang out some more Hawks or Wraithguard this week for the Crusade of Fire Campaign.

New List and More Painting!

So I have been wracking my brain over a new list I want to run.  With my current 1850 iteration, I have a very good track record with it.  Its a solid list and I know on a whim I can use the list, perform well at a tournament, and best of all not have to paint a model.

My new list has Eldar as my primary army.  I am done being stubborn and want to run more Eldar units in my lists as I feel I have used all the units in the Dark Eldar book (yes even Mandrakes!) and been successful with them.  I feel it is time to try something new.

So this is what I got:

Eldar Primary

Farseer, Bike, Stone of Anath'lan, Shard of Anaris, Runes of Warding- 170
Maugan Ra- 195
Warlock- 35

x20 Guardians, x2 Lances- 220
x5 Dire Avengers, Serpent w/ Scatter Laser, Cannon- 195
x5 Dire Avengers, Serpent w/ Scatter Laser, Cannon- 195

x3 Vaul Batteries- 90
War Walker w/ x2 Bright Lances- 70

Dark Eldar Allies

Baron- 105

x5 Warriors, Venom w/ Trophies- 115
x5 Warriors, Venom w/ Trophies- 115

x5 Beast Masters, x1 Fiend, x5 Khymera, x6 Flock- 250

Aegis Line, Icarus Las-Cannon- 85

TOTAL 1850

So I like this list and the flexibility it brings.  So some basics...

Maugan Ra and the Warlock join the Guardians.  Ra will be my Warlord and his Trait of SPlit Fire will come in handy.  He can choose to shoot anything and deal damage.  5 shots at BS 7, Str. 6 Rending?  Yeah pretty good I think.  He makes the Guardians Fearless, gives them a nice CC deterrent from normal 3+ saves with him being Str. 6 AP 3 with 4 base attacks and Int. 7, so not too bad.  If someone rolls up with an AP 2 guy, the lock can lock him for a turn.  The Warlock in turn will provide them with Shrouding which will help since they can stay behind the Line if need be and have a nice 2+ Cover save.  Also, Ra will be in base with the Icarus if my opponent has fliers so he can double shot it and knock it out of the sky.  Or a Guardian can man it and shoot 2 Lances, a Lascannon at a vehicle and have Ra shoot something else.  Combined, I feel confident they can take down any vehicle and are a threat to anything in the game.  Ra also gives Night Vision to the unit which is a nice little buff.  When shooting at a squad, Ra can Precision shot/strike on a 5+ with his Exarch power as well which again, is a nice little boost.  I feel he is expensive, but he provides nice support and boosts to the Guardians.

Seer still goes with Beasts and gives Fearless and hopefully Fortune.

Serpents and Venoms pew pew.

Weapon Batteries kill those pesky troops who hide out of LOS or pick off important weapon guys like Grav Guns or Apothercaries.  I know a lot of tournaments are going to start using the Alternate Mission set up and this will help knocking those units that want to just hang out on objectives and score points.

The War Walker seems a little out of place but I do have a plan.  He will usually be in Reserve and ready to Outflank and get a good side or rear armor shot.  With the emergence of Knights and AV13 (something I always have struggled with) I think a couple extra Lance shots will be nice.  He is easy to hide and doesn't cost much, but he can potentially do nice things against heavy hitters.  Plus, it saves me from praying that Ra will Rend if I shoot at high AV targets.

Strengths of my list:

Balance-  I can deal with anything I feel.  Spam armies one way or the other could cause problems, but I have an answer for anything

Target Saturation-  I have good, solid, hard to kill units.  Large Gaurdians, large Beasts, Defense Line, and a couple Wave Serpents cannot simply disappear in one turn

Unorthodox-  I don't think people will expect to see this list. Ra could be laughed out of the tournament when he is seen on the list.  No min maxing with double Seers, spamming Serpents, or Venom spamming is not there like some would expect.

Weaknesses of my list:

Fliers-  If someone brings 3 AV12 or 4+ AV11 fliers I could be in trouble.  The Icarus is nice, as is the Serpents.  But they can be taken out and after they go down I will be shooting the Guardians with Ra attached at them.  Multiple Vendettas or 5+ FMCs is something I do not want to see.

AV13/14-  If someone rolls up with 3 Landraiders, 6 AV13, or 3 Knights (unlikely I know, but Im sure there will be someone)  I could struggle.  I simply don't have the reliable shooting to kill these things.  I will rely on the Guardians, Ra, and the Icarus to do this.  Seems like I rely on them for a lot!

Well there is my list and what I will be testing soon.  I am hoping to get a game in against Adam Tricola this week so he can practice for Adepticon and I can just simply practice.  So let me know what you and how you think this will perform.  Critiques definitely welcome!

Last but not least, here is a couple pictures of my test model Swooping Hawk.  Let me know what you think!  Thanks!

I am debating on whether I want to highlight or not.  I really like the soft color look and think that if I tried it would ruin the look.  I will add a picture of him looking at you so you can see his leather pouch and such.  But I really really like how this guy turned out and is probably my favorite model I have painted.

My goal with all the Aspect Warriors I paint is to keep my scheme (green and grey) but also have a piece of their colors in there.  My Warp Spiders have Red and Black head and with the Hawks I wanted to keep the same thing.  Head and wings have the look (albeit not the same exact color but close) as the traditional Swooping Hawks.  I thought he turned out well and just looking at him you should be able to tell he is a Swooping Hawk.

Painting Block:

5 Swooping Hawks
5 Wraithguard
1 Warlock, counts as Spiritseer
10 new Secret Weapon bases

Quite a healthy stack but hope I can get some of this done!

Crusading Through the Fire

My Crusade of Fire Campaign continued on last night at Sheildbreakers Games in Aurora, CO.  I brought the same list as before, and the Walking Dead continued to dominate.  My first game was against Greg Vergoza and his Iron Hands with Inquisition allies.

He brought:

Chapter Master, Shield, Hammer, Bike
Libby, lvl 2, Bike
Command Squad w/ 4 Shields, 4 Grav, Apothecary

5 bikes, 2 Grav
5 Scouts, Bolters
5 Scouts Bolters
5 Scouts, Bolters, Storm w/ Heavy Flamer
5 Scouts, Bolters, Storm w/ Heavy Flamer

Storm Talon, Skyhammer
Storm Talon, Skyhammer

Thunderfire
Thunderfire

Coteaz
Inquisitor, lvl 1 Psyker, 3 Skulls

3 Henchmen, Razorback w/ Psybolt
3 Henchmen, Razorback w/ Psybolt

I was intimidated by the list because he had so many unit and lots of them were fast.  Plus Grav is scary for by big guys!  Unfortunately for Greg, we played the Planetstrike Mission with me being te attacker.  This meant all of my units had to DS in and those that already had DS could assault the turn they came in.

I ended up getting quite a bit of my army in Turn 1 and decimated his entire Command Squad with my 10 Wraithguard and killed 1 Thunderfire with my D-Cannon Wraithseer.  He retaliated with an Orbital Bombardment that killed 7/10 Guard and a Spiritseer.  The rest of the game though would go downhill for Greg as I would kill the CM and Libby on the Turn 2 and kill units one at a time.  His Grav guns didn't do much and he couldn't harm my Lords or Knight.

Second game was against Kris and his Dark Angels/ Grey Knights.  He brought:

Coteaz

10 Strikes, 2 Psycannons, Rhino
4 Henchmen

Stormraven

Dreadknight, Teleporter, Sword, Hvy Incinerator

Sammael
Libby, T. Armor, lvl 2

x10 Deathwing, 2 Cyclone Missiles
x5 Ravenwings Bikers, x2 flamers
x10 Tactical Marines, Missile Launcher, Flamer, Rhino

This game started off badly from the first turn.  I shot his Dreadknight with my Wraithknight and ID'd him.  Then I crawled forward.  He lunged all of his stuff forward and shot everything into my 10 man Wraithguard squad.  A few missile and such killed some, but wounding on 6's and getting a 4+ FnP (from the Wraithseer) meant I lost 3 guys total.  he then charged with Sammael.  We stalemated each killing zero.  Next turn I cast Jinx on him twice and Hallucinated his Deathwing.  Many Deathwing died to Powerfist attacks!  And I wiped the biked and Sammel with the help of the Wraithseer.

My opponent would then complain that my army was unkillable because nothing in his army can hurt the Lords, Knight, or the Seer.  He tried saying that no army can kill this and I shouldn't play an army no one can kill.  When I tried to explain to him that all I had was 36 models and the majority of models aren't very good in CC, he insisted it didn't matter.  Oh well, sorry Kris for having an OP and unkillable army!

I believe this makes me the only undefeated player left that has played more than 1 or 2 games.  I have 8 territories with a Hive City and Manufactorum.  I will work on grabbing more Spaceports and having at least one space on each planet.

In a couple days I will post the new list I want to start trying out for tournaments.  I am not 100% sold on it as I missing some units I have played with for awhile and have gained confidence with.  But, as with anything tried and true, I am bored with it and want to give other units a try.

Crusade of Fire Update

So in my last post I mentioned I was going to be playing in a Crusade of Fire Campaign.  I posted my list in my previous post so you can get an idea of what I am running.  Not the most competitive, but can pack a serious punch against some armies while being very resilient.  Much more of a fun list and a list of models I can paint and take a break from painting and building for all of the tournaments out there.

For starters, there was 18 players who showed up to play!  WOW!  As we did flag placement, I was stuck placing last because on the 3D6 roll off, I got 4!  Yes 4 on 3D6.  So I was left with no territories that had anything on them.  However, Dave the organizer allowed me to challenge first and I challenged an Ork player who was in control of the 1 Hive City on all of the 4 planets.

His name was Barry and he brought this list:

Warboss, Bike, Claw
Old Zogwort

10 Mega Nobs w/ assorted equipment
10 Nob Bikers w/ assorted equipment
15 Gretchin

15 Tankbustas
5 Koptas w/ TL-Rokkits

Bastion w/ Icarus

At first I was worried because those Nob Bikers and Mega Nobs could just tear me up.  But I had first turn and allowed him to come to me.  He did and simply got obliterated.  Nob Bikers got a charge off on a 5 man Wraithguard squad and wiped them and then proceeded to be assaculted by another 5 man squad, 2 Wraithlords, and my Wraithknight and got wiped.  The 10 Wraithguard and 3 Seers shot and then assaulted and wiped the Nobs out.  My Swooping Hawks leveled the Tank Bustas as well and my Wraithseer kill the Koptas.

I was fortunate because in the next game Barry brought 120+ Boyz and I don't know how I would have faired against that!

Next game was against Amy and her Chaos Space Marines.  She is new to Chaos but definitely not new to 40k.  She brought:

Kharn
Lvl 3 Sorc w/ TA, Familiar

5 Termies, Reaper, x2 Combi melta

9 Zerks
10 Thousand Son, Rhino
10 Cultists
10 Cultists

3 Oblits
5 Havocs, x4 Autocannons
Landraider

So another army that wants to get close.  She came straight forward with the Raider and I killed in Turn 1 along with all of the Zerks and Kharn.  Her T-Sons would kill a couple Guard but then be bogged down with a Wraithlord for the game.  Her Termies and Sorc dropped and I dropped a D-Cannon on them kill 4/6 in the blast.  She called it early as the shop was going to close and there wasn't much hope to come back.  I gained a Manufactorum for beating her!

I am looking forward to the coming weeks and hope I can continue streaking (lol) and taking some more territories!

Genghis Con and What's to Come!

Two weeks ago there was a Con in Denver called Genghis Con.  I was told by many that it was a competitive tournament and lots of fun.  Despite the $30 entry fee, ($10 for the tournament, $20 for the Con Badge) I decided to play.  It was 1850 Tournament and I brought the list I won Guardian Cup with.  I will give a quick run down of my games as it was two weeks ago.

First game was against Kevin from 11th Co. Podcast.  He brought Seer Council.  This game was frustrating because I had to tell him countless rules he was attempting to play wrong and he kept on looking up basic rules throughout the game.  He accused me of not keep tracking of the wound for my Wraithknight and thought he did more than he did, tried Turbo Boosting the Baron with Bikes, and overall was just not very much fun to play.  Regardless, I beat him 9-1 and moved onto Round 2.

Second game I played a Creed Blob with 3 Vendettas and 2 Russ.  He scouted 1 blob forward to which I first turn assaulted (my opponent didn't think you could) and my Beasts ran rampant and he was tabled turn 4. Win 10-0.

3rd game was against a nice Nid player.  I hadn't played against new Nids yet and it was an experience.  My opponent was very nice and helped me with all the rules.  His first turn was devastating as he killed a Serpent with 8 Glances from a Tyrant, killed a Ravager with a Crone, Destroyed a Venom with another Crone and another Venom with his Quad Gun.  Over the game, it was bloody.  When the dust cleared, I had a full Wound Wraithknight on a Bug Gun objective and some Beasts.  He had 1 Wound on a Tyrant and a full wound Crone.  I won with the Knight.  Very fun game and glad I got to play new Nids.

Ass Con is the nickname I will adopt I got from a friend here in Colorado for this tournament.  So me and two other went undefeated and all of us would be in the drawing for Best General and Best Overall.  However, at Ass Con they do an equal split between Battle, Sport, and Paint.  The winner of the tournament had 2 losses but full Paint and Sports.  I'm sure her Sport were helped by played 2 of her relatives.   What a joke.  On top of that, they hadn't out raffle prizes!  Yes!   BUT!  You couldn't only win one if you lost a game!  Guess what?  The WINNER of the tournament won a raffle prize!  Like I said, a joke.  Ass Con will never be attended by me again, simply not worth it and simply the worst tournament ever.

So what is to come?

At Shieldbreakers, there will be a Crusade of Fire Campaign starting this Friday and goes on for 9 weeks.  Dave Goldberg, the head of the local gaming group called The War College set this up and did a great job organizing it.  I believe we will have 10+ people participating, so I am excited to play some relaxed 40k in a nice and friendly environment.  I am excited as it costs nothing and should be more of a fun atmosphere.  I am going to use this opportunity to paint some models and play a more fun list.  Here it is:

Wraithseer, D-Cannon- 225
Spiritseer- 70
Spiritseer- 70
Spiritseer, Helmet of Xellthon, Wraithforge Stone- 115

x3 Bikes, Cannon- 61
x5 Wraithguard- 160
x5 Wraithguard- 160
x10 Wraithguard- 320

x6 Swooping Hawks- 96

Wraithlord, Scatter Laser, Bright Lance, Sword- 165
Wraithlord, Scatter Laser, Bright Lance, Sword- 165
Wraithknight- 240

Not the most competitive thing out there but I think it will be tons of fun to play.  I think it can handle a number of things, but a lot of the good armies will simply shoot it down.  I am in the works of getting a FW order ready to purchase a Wraithseer, but right now I am proxying an old metal Wraithlord.

And here is some pictures of a couple things I have been working on.  They will be based when my Special Order comes in from Shieldbreakers for my Secret Weapon bases.

I will be working on building some Guardians for a new list I want to run.  But, also, I will be painting my army slowly for the CoF Campaign going on.  I ma hoping Adam Tricola over at Delusions of Grandeur will want to get a game in this coming week to practice for Adepticon.

No tournaments I know of are coming up that I know of, but I will be on the look out!  Hope all is well and congrats to all those who went to LVO and performed well.

1850 RTT at Shieldbreakers last weekend!

So this past weekend the local store I have been going to for weeks, Shieldbreakers in Aurora, CO and played in a tournament.  Though the turnout was small (9 players), everything was allowed at this tournament!  Forgeworld, Escalation, Stronghold, Dataslates, Formations, you name it, you could bring it as long as it has 40k rules.  The turnout would have been bigger, but talking with the owner, a lot of people bailed last minute something me and him weren't happy about.  But, the show went on!

My list is the one I won the Guardian Cup with as it was the models I had painted and wanted to see if they would have a Paint score (they didn't) and didn't want to bring unpainted models to my tournament at this store.

Here is the list:

Baron
x5 Warriors, Venom
x5 Warriors, Venom
x5 Warriors, Venom
x5 Masters, Fiend, x5 Khymera, x6 Flock
Ravager, Nightshields
Ravager, Nightshields

Farseer, Bike, Stone, Shard
x5 Avengers, Serpent w/ TL-Scatter Laser, Shuriken Cannon
x5 Avengers, Serpent w/ TL-Scatter Laser, Shuriken Cannon
x7 Warp Spiders
Wraithknight

Here are a couple pictures of the new Avengers and Spiders for my army.

My first opponent's name was Chris and he brought Blood Angels.

His List:

Mephiston
Cypher
Captain w/ Power Axe, Jump Pack

x3 Sanguinary Priests, Corbulo, 2 Jump Packs, 2 Powers Weapons

x10 Assault Marines, Thunder Hammer
x10 Tactical, Missile, Flamer, Power Weapon
x10 Tactical, Missile, Plasma Gun, Power Weapon

Stormraven, Typhoons, Hurricane Bolters

Aegis Line w/ Quad Gun.

He list had a lot of heroes in it.  But a very small and compact army.  I wasn't scared.  I actually even took some pictures.  They will tell you how the game went.  Unfortunately, they were the only ones I took as the other games I was watching Psychic Powers and such and did not get around to it.

Deployment Game 1
Start of Turn 2 after Reserves.

Chris moving his last few units.  Assault Marines and Corbulo broke towards his edge.

Turn 2, Beasts in CC, Quad Gun dead
End of my Turn 2.  Spider came in and killed Stormraven.  He killed a Serpent in his turn.

End of game.  His last 3 models Krak Grenaded my other Serpent.  Beasts ran down his Tacticals and Corbulos and Assault Marines.

Game 2 vs Noah's Daemons

His List:

Fateweaver
Greater Unclean One, Greater Reward

x10 Horrors
x12 Horrors

Nurgle Prince, Wings, Armor, Lvl 3, Exalted Reward, Lesser Reward
Nurgle Prince, Wings, Armor, Lvl 3, Greater Reward x2
Nurgle Prince, Wings, Armor, Lvl 3, Greater Reward x2

Bastion, Icarus Cannon

The mission was Kill Points but there was also an objective that we could each place that counted as an AV 12 vehicle with 3 HPs.  If destroyed you netter 5 Killpoints!  A little unfair, but whatever.

First Turn saw me blow up the Bastion, and kill the Grimoire Nurgle Prince.  He flew up and doom Bolted a Serpent to death and turned my Seer into a Herald.

Second Turn, the Wraithknight ID's another Prince, I ground Fatey and kill him, and the Beasts take care of the Prince.  He Deepstrikes down with his other Horros and fails to do anything.  The GUO is literally on top of the objective so I can't see it.

My Turn 3 I kill all his Horrors and the GUO is down to a couple wounds.  For good measure I kill the objective, even though I had the game in hand.  Noah was a cool guy and knew he had lost when the Grimoire was lost first turn.  We continue to play for another turn, but the game was pretty much over.

Game #3 vs Mat's Seer Council.

Awesome, I get to play Seer Council in the 3rd round.  He had just dominated his other opponents but I was ready for the challenge.

His list:

Seer, Bike
Seer, Bike, Shard

x8 Warlocks, x5 Spears

x10 Guardians, Lance, Serpent w/ TL-Scatter Laser, Holofields
x10 Guardians, Lance, Serpent w/ TL-Scatter Laser, Holofields
x10 Guardians, Lance, Serpent w/ TL-Scatter Laser, Holofields
x10 Guardians, Lance, Serpent w/ TL-Scatter Laser, Holofields

x5 Spiders

Mission was Scouring with 5 Objectives al worth 3 VPs with Hammer and Anvil Deployment.

So not as tooled up as it could be, but nonetheless still solid.  He did get Fortune and Protect.  I had first turn, but he Seized on me.  And that was when I thought the game was over.  I had deployed on my Deployment line and was just going to let loose into the Council.  But alas, I could not.

Turn 1 saw him cast his powers and get them all off and he Turbo'd around his DZ.  He blew a Ravager up and glanced the other twice, and glanced a Serpent twice.  Not that bad of a turn.  I move the Beasts up and cast Fortune on them.  One Serpent and Ravager combine to blow a Serpent up.  My other Serpent blows another one of his Serpents up, and my Wraithknight follows suit and blows one up as well.  Holofields couldn't save him.  I then Venom down a bunch of Guardians.  One squad runs off the board.

Turn 2 he moves up and Fortunes, Protects, and Dooms me.  His other Serpent blows a Venom up.  His Lances are of no effect.  He shoots and kills some Beasts and then charges.  He causes 17 Wounds and kills 1 Flock and deals 4 wounds to another.  I kill Lock due to Rending, then fail my Hit and Run.  My Turn 2, I kill more Guardians and his other Serpent.  He has around 15 Guardians left on the board.  I do nothing to him in CC.  He kills a couple Khymera and a Flock.

His Turn 3 the Spiders show up and do nothing.  He fails Fortune but get Protect.  His shooting does nothing.  In CC I challenge with my Shardseer and he accepts with his.  I kill him in the Challenge.  I then proceed to wipe 6 Locks and hurt the Seer.  He fails LD but I cant catch him.  My Turn 3 I wipe out the Guardians and the Council. I cant get to his Spiders as they are behind a wall that blocks LOS.

Turn 4 he gives in.

So I go 3-0 with playing no more than 3 rounds in any game for the most part.

I end up winning $50 and grabbing some Secret Weapon bases and some paints.  One person brought a Stompa and an Ork Mekka Dread.  Another brought a Necron FW unit that looks like a super Annhilation Barge.  Other than that, no other weird things.  I was really hoping to play one of them to see how I could cope with it.  But none of those people showed up.

Thanks to my opponents and Nate for a fun tournament.  There is a 1750pt tournament this weekend at Genghis Con that I hope to attend.  Need to iron out a list and paint a couple things if I want to go.  Also, a Crusade of Fire Campaign is going to start at the end of the month and I am looking forward to it.  I will be playing Eldar so I can paint up some models.  I think I will be playing more of a fun list with Wraithguard and Wraithlords and Striking Scorpions.  I think it will be fun.  I will post in a couple days about the list I am thinking of bringing for Genghis Con.

Colorado Gaming and Pictures!

So I have been in Colorado for the last 2 weeks.  I have gotten my wish and been able to get some games in.  A couple against an experienced Tournament Veteran named Adam Tricola.  We split our games we played.  He played against a 1750 list to help him prep for the LVO coming up in 3 weeks which he won.  We then up'd the points to 1850 and I played against his tournament GK/Tau build with my Guardian Cup winning list.  I would win this game.

This last week, I traveled down to Denver to Shieldbreakers Games.  For a store in a strip mall, it is rather spacious.  It had room for many more tables than were set up.  They have 7 built table with a ton of terrain.  However, they have enough space to fit double or triple that number.  I played 2 games here against 2 of their veterans.  One game against Salamanders, which I one handily.  The second against a Tau list built for tournament play.  This included 6 Broadsides, 2 Riptides, Some Crisis Suits, and a buff Commander.  He was also using the Tau Dataslate.  It was a tough game, but I pulled it out pretty handily by turn 3 and won the game turn 5.  Both games were fun and I will be returning on Friday nights for their 40k night.

A blurry picture (sorry) of their tables and people playing.
Picture of Shieldbreakers from the back of the store.

Upcoming Events:

January 25th 1750pt Tournament at Gryphon Games

No Escalation/Stronghold
No Forgeworld
All Supplements allowed
All Character Dataslates allowed

I am looking forward to this tournament.  I am anxious to see what the people in Fort COllin deem competitive.

February 8th 1850pt Tournament

Everything is allowed.
Forgeworld, Stronghold, Escalation, Super Heavies, EVERYTHING!

I was hesitant at first to go to this tournament.  I saw some people playing with the Aquila Standpoint and a Revnant Titan with be used I heard. I also saw someone using some of the Dataslates and other Stronghold configurations.

I want to play in this tournament so I can attempt to win with nothing but things from Codex Dark Eldar and Codex Eldar.  If I win some money, I think I might pick up the Stronghold book.  I liked what I saw in it, and if tournaments in these parts are going to continue to allow such things, I might want to use one of them.  I do own an Aegis and a couple Bastions so I am sure I can come up with something.

So overall, I am a little excited to see the Colorado community embracing the tournament scene.  I am reluctant to say I will not be going to the Las Vegas Open this year.  I know it is sold out at this point, but I do not have the funds to go on such an expensive trip.  I know a couple dozen people going and I know it would be a great trip.  I wish all of you luck and hope everyone does well!

Now I have been doing some hobbying while I have been here.  Here is a picture of the completed Wave Serpents I have done.  I will be working on some Dire Avengers and my Farseer model in the next week or so.  For now, here are the Serpents.

First models I have ever highlighted.  I think they turned out ok.  Still need to do some engine work on them.
